Based five years after the tragic events of SERIAL: Amoral Uprising, Girls Night Out is a continuation of the fictional life profile of a manipulative serial killer named Trenton Wade Bracks. Highly influenced by the disturbing true case files of former death row convicts Ted Bundy, Richard Speck & Henry Lee Lucas, Girls Night Out tells the horrific story of two unsuspecting sorority sisters that happen to cross Trenton’s path while spending time at the bar on a “girls night out”. Starring Christopher Howell, Deneen Melody, Kelsey Zukowski & Colleen Elizabeth Miller. Written & directed by K.M. Jamison. Production & special effects design by Jim Bett Jr. and Black Eye Entertainment.

Christopher Howell attended Southern Illinois University where he studied biological sciences with aspirations of one day becoming a medical doctor. During his undergraduate years he held several jobs to help cover tuition costs that included modeling and acting. Post graduation, Christopher turned his sights towards acting. His first taste of on-camera action came with the production of an independent crime film titled SERIAL: Amoral Uprising, where he played the lead role of a southern based serial killer named Trenton Wade Bracks. Immediately finding his passion in front of the camera, he began honing his acting skill. Since then he has been featured in several film projects carefully choosing his roles to broaden his craft. Other works featuring Christopher Howell include titles such as The Door, Home in the Heartland and the 10 minute SERIAL Promo piece made by the same writer & director of SERIAL: Amoral Uprising. Christopher’s next step is to transition towards Los Angeles, California sometime in late 2010 to pursue his acting career.

While she is one of the newest Scream Queens, Deneen Melody is more than just a horror darling. The youngest of 8 children and a Native Texan, Deneen originally started off as a ballerina, training and performing with various companies in the Houston area. Unfortunately, after many years of dancing, Deneen suffered a foot injury that caused her to step back from the ballet world. However, it wasn’t long until she found her true calling in the world of independent film where she was able to achieve a fair amount of success that continues to serve as the source of her inspiration and career motivation. Since starting her acting career, Deneen has worked with several professional filmmakers, photographers, and makeup artists in and around the Chicago area. Apart from acting, Deneen has experience in fight combat and does stunt classes in her spare time on top of being an experienced model who currently models for comics through Comic Book Divas. Some of the active titles Deneen has been featured in include Distortion, Slices of Life, As Night Falls and Don’t Look In The Basement which is currently in pre-production with a planned release of 2011. To add on to her already extensive resume, she will be also joining the cast of the upcoming independent film by K.M. Jamison & Black Eye Entertainment titled SERIAL: Girls Night Out , a production that is planned to begin principal photography in late 2010. Deneen will be also be featured in the new Master’s Devils comic book as well, reprising her role as Devlynn Envy from the film. If you would like more information or have interest in booking Deneen for a role or event you can find her contact information on her Myspace page or use the second option of replying to this post.

Colleen’s first acting role was in junior high, where she played Witch Hex in the Grimm’s Brothers version of Snow White. Upon graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Acting & Fine Arts, Colleen moved to Chicago to pursue her acting career. Colleen even studied acting abroad for a semester at The Gaiety School of Acting and at Trinity University in Dublin, Ireland. As much as she loved performing theater arts, she quickly discovered her true passion with independent film. Colleen’s filmography includes Howling Moon, Paranormal Calamity, Dr. Spine, Reality Star, Baby Alligators, Necravin, The Borderline, One Way, Foreign English, Tea Party, Going To Pieces, and At Sunset.
Kelsey Zukowski has an extensive background in film and a true undying love for the horror genre. She did a lot of theater work when she was younger, including consecutive productions in inner-city Cleveland as part of a program to enrich the community. In high school her love of film transitioned her in to writing movie reviews and eventually writing screenplays to further improve her writing and overall conception of independent film. She now writes movie reviews for HorrorYearbook.com, HorrorMovieFans.com, FilmArcade.net, 2Snaps.tv, and TCWReviews.com. Kelsey has a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Cinema and a Graduate’s degree in Screenwriting from DePaul University; exclusively writing horror scripts that speak to social themes or question what true terror really entails and has managed to turn many of her shorter scripts into short films. Kelsey is a big believer in the horror genre with all that it is capable of creatively infusing and is looking forward to making her return to acting in the upcoming film SERIAL: Girls Night Out, an independent production being directed by K.M. Jamison and produced by Black Eye Entertainment.

Since we are getting very close to the beginning of principal photography (October 2010) we thought it would be a good idea to create something we can use to help with promotion of the film. So in light of that this past weekend we were able to pull together an assortment of cast and crew members to run a few tests with the various special effects we have planned for the film. While we had everyone there we were able to fit in the production of a promotional video we will be using to gain exposure for SERIAL: Girls Night Out. Starring Christopher Howell as the despicable Trenton Wade Bracks and introducing Milwaukee based photographer and actress Jennifer Le who was able to give us an amazing performance during her time on the SERIAL set. There is no release date set for the teaser as of yet but we did manage to release a few photos from the shoot thanks to Jennifer Le. Continue below for an assortment of images taken from the promotional teaser set of SERIAL: Girls Night Out. All images property of Jennifer Le.

In Amoral Uprising the creator, writer and director K.M. Jamison introduces us to his fictional character Trenton Wade Bracks and his nihilistic world by giving us an indication of how and when things started to go wrong. SERIAL: Amoral Uprising is a 58 minute showcase film that will begin to guide us though the progression and development of Trenton’s life one step at a time, similar to a televised biography of an American criminal. Since it’s premiere at the Summer Slaughter film festival hosted by Mitchell Wells of Horrorsociety.com, SERIAL: Amoral Uprising has managed to attract a large amount of positive attention from industry based websites such as Horror-News.net, Dead Pit Radio, Horrorsociety.com, DreadCentral.com & Bloody-Disgusting.com.

SERIAL: Girls Night Out will serve as a way to keep development of the story moving until financial aid is established for production of a feature film based on the life and crimes of Trenton Wade Bracks. In order to achieve a global exposure for Girls Night Out and commercial the possibility of a feature film, K.M. Jamison’s production company (Black Eye Entertainment) along with co-producer Mitchell Wells of Horrorsociety.com will be showcasing the product through means of independent film festivals, magazines, fan based conventions and online marketing until distribution of the film is established. Girls Night Out will also be available for purchase through the website once post production of the film is complete sometime later this year. Read below for official synopsis.

And we’re back…again. Obviously this is only going to serve as a temporary blog location for the time being while our site manager has time to set up the new one. But for those of you who are just now visiting the site in light of the recent press we have able to achieve for the project, welcome to the official (temporary ha ha) blog for SERIAL. An independent film series written and directed by K.M. Jamison that profiles the life and crimes of a fictional serial killer named Trenton Wade Bracks. Deeply inspired by classic horror films such as John McNaughton’s Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer , William Lustig’s Maniac and Lucio Fulci’s New York Ripper.
Being the first franchise series connected to K.M. Jamison & Jim Bett Jr.’s production company, Black Eye Entertainment, SERIAL began in late 2007 when script writer K.M. Jamison had an initial vision in mind inspired by a variety of true crime related horror films. He wanted to be able to write, direct and produce a film similar to the style used by some of his favorite directors while being able to tell a story about a fictional character identical to a real life biography of a serial killer. While lacking the proper funding that was required to begin work on a feature film, Jamison and Jim Bett Jr. made the ultimate decision to turn Jamison’s script into a variety of short installments to help tell the main back story that will lead viewers towards the feature once financing is established.

In SERIAL: Amoral Uprising the creator, writer and director K.M. Jamison introduces us to his fictional character Trenton Wade Bracks and his nihilistic world by giving us an indication of how and when things started to go wrong. SERIAL: Amoral Uprising is a 58 minute introduction film that will begin to guide us though the progression and development of a serial killer’s life profile one step at a time, similar to a televised biography of an American criminal. Already an accustomed victim of a physically and mentally violent upbringing, raised by an abusive and sharp-tongued junkie mother along with a weak father who never took a stand until it was too late are just a small portion of the character’s downward spiral. In this early version of K.M. Jamison’s SERIAL film series we see through the eyes of both a young Trenton with sadness and despair as well as an older Trenton fresh out of jail with a nonchalant sense of reckless behavior.

Since its premiere in July of 2009, SERIAL: Amoral Uprising has begun looking towards distribution of the fifty-five minute film by a number of separate companies after receiving a handful of positive reviews of the film from various writers who all were in agreement that the film was worthy of achieving distribution on a massive scale. In order to begin producing the film in hopes of finding distribution, K.M. Jamison and Jim Bett Jr. began to send the film to a variety of established online writers. Between 2009 and 2010, SERIAL: Amoral Uprising has gained positive reviews from fans and workers in the film industry on websites such as Horrorsociety.com, SHU-IZMZ.com, Horrorland.com, Horrornews.net, Horroryearbook.com and the well known Deadpit.com who were able to give the film a glowing review during a live internet based radio broadcast.
“Trenton Wade Bracks never had a chance.” | Mitchell Wells – Horrorsociety.com

“The film itself is fictional, it goes elastic on your ass and stretches your imagination to make it feel like a real life documentary about a serial killer.” | John Pattison – Horrorland.com

“Serial: Amoral Uprising has a lot to offer through character and story, but it does a lot with its low budget as it stands out stylistically as well.” | Kelsey Zukowski – Horroryearbook.com

“Writer/director Jamison took what was obviously a very small budget to work with and crafted a very entertaining story and packed it all into a short time frame. It has the obvious nods to other stories that came before it; and a gritty, dirty, graphically realistic feel to it in the tradition of the classic HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER.” | Bonedigger – Horrornews.net

Currently the film is going through the process of DVD replication of the product which will include the fifty-five minute film, behind the scenes footage, commentary by the cast and crew, a gallery of production images from the set, cast interviews and a selection of video media connected to both SERIAL: Amoral Uprising & the SERIAL promo piece to show the viewers how much we have done with two years’ worth of hard work on the project. The film will be shown in 2011 by means of film festivals, independent film conventions in hopes of being able to have the product seen by a massive and diverse audience. The film will also be available for purchase through a stand alone website that is due for release in November of 2010.
